The Cooper School is seeking highly qualified teaching interns for a combination Kindergarten/Grade 1 position. This position is available for the 2010/2011 school year.
All applicants should have education and experience in teaching at the elementary level. Applicants should have a teaching degree and be working toward Certification or a Masters in Education. Applicants can expect to be working toward full time, lead teacher positions.
The strongest applicants will have had experience teaching an integrated, project based curriculum. They will have a deep respect for young children and belief in the abilities of all children. They will have the desire and ability to educate the whole child, including social, emotional, academic and physical realms. In addition, the strongest applicants will be comfortable in a dynamic, rigorous learning environment. They will be comfortable in a coaching environment with their teaching peers and team teaching.
