The Cooper School Daily

Happy Thanksgiving

Gratitude

Every November, The Cooper School students and staff begin their discussion of Gratitude. This unit culminates at the Harvest Feast, where students share their Gratitude Books with their families and friends. These books are a labor of love that the students put a lot of thought into before their final copy is created. The outer covers of these books are painted by our class using gorgeous natural dyes that where created by artist and Cooper School parent, Rose Wirtz.   Inside the books, are the six things that the students are most grateful for in their lives.

Harvest Feast & Concert

On Tuesday, TCS parents and friends were invited to join the students and faculty to a Harvest Feast to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Before the feast, Miss Hazel organized an amazing choir performance that featured guitars, violins, percussion instruments, and even the bells. The 3rd Grade class even performed a Radio Show segment during the concert. It was a beautiful performance and a delicious celebration for the entire Cooper School family.
